Darling Software provides the following services for designing, developing, testing and maintaining web sites:

1. Initial Client Consultation:

   The initial consultation is a meeting where we will find out what kind of site you are planning and answer any questions you may have. The goal of this initial meeting is to provide you with information related to the development of your web site. The Initial Client Consultation is a free, no-obligation meeting. After the Initial Client Consultation, you may decide whether or not you would like to receive a free written estimate.




2. Free Written Estimate:

   The free written estimate is a detailed set of specifications for your web site along with a cost estimate. Pricing for the web site will vary depending upon the features and size of your web site.




3. Contract Preparation and Signing:

   If you decide to have Darling Software develop and/or maintain your web site, Darling Software will prepare a standard contract detailing the web site work to be done. A payment of 1/3 of the total estimated cost will be due upon the signing of this agreement.




4. Web Site Content Gathering:

   Text and photographs for your web site will need to be gathered and decided upon before work may begin on your site. Darling Software can assist you in this process but you will need to decide upon the content and scope of your web site.




5. Web Site Design:

   During the web site design process, web page drafts will be presented to you. During this time, your feedback on the site will be solicited and appropriate changes will be made. This process will continue until you have accepted the web site design and are completely satisfied with the web site design. Once you have accepted the web site design, you will be billed for the second 1/3 payment.




6. Web Site Testing:

   During the web site testing phase, your web site will be thoroughly tested on different web browsers, platforms and screen resolutions. During this time, you will have another chance to review your web site for minor changes and corrections until you are completely satisfied with your web site design.




7. Web Site Launch:

   Once your web site has been completely tested, your web site will be uploaded to the server and will become a live web site. The third and final 1/3 payment will be due at this time.




8. Web Site Maintenance:

   Darling Software can maintain your web site once it has been launched. Darling Software can either bill you on an hourly basis, or you can sign up for our Preferred Maintenance program prepaid at a flat monthly rate. See the Our Fees page for further details on web site maintenance.
